Dan Volt started the company in 2007 after 15 years working for large electrical contractors across the GTA. Frustrated by the industry's habit of surprise charges and shoddy work, he started his own business with a simple promise: flat-rate pricing, show up when you say you will, and do the job right the first time.
His son James joined the team in 2013 after earning his Journeyperson's ticket, and together they grew the company from a 2-person operation into a 12-electrician team — still family-owned, still operating by the same values Dan started with.
Today, Volt & Sons is one of York Region's most trusted electrical contractors, with a HomeStars "Best of" award for 3 consecutive years and a 4.9-star Google rating across 340+ reviews.
